My "New" Elevation Ex 15 pics

Hey everyone. I noticed in another post people were asking where JFD's old Elevation subs went. Well, they came to me, lol. Due to respect of buyer/seller privacy, I will keep it at that! HEre are some pics, I apologize for the quality, my digi camera broke.....errr was dropped, and I had to use my phone to take them. I am more excited than a kid on Christmas Day!!!

They will be installed in my MArk VIII. I will fire them back towards the trunk. The box will be slot-ported, and I am taking the stock back dash out, customizing a new one with a slot cut out to flush the slot port to it, which will fire directly toward the back windshield. I am also going to cut holes in the back dash to allow for the front sub-wave to be able to flow into the cabin as well. Getting the back sub-wave from the port to phase together with the sub front-wave is going to be the trick, and probably a pain in the balls, but it can and WILL be done to get the best sound.

Heh, yeah, I know, I need to get this done ASAP. I want it done for the summer. I was going to snap pics of the amp pushing them, but hey, it's just an MA, lol. I am going to use one out of two of my HC4002's, with the sub wired to 1 ohm the subs will receive 2000 wrms each. I was thinking of using BOTH MA's, I mean, with 3 in VC's I think they could handle 4000 wrms at 1/2 gain, but I don't wanna push my luck, nor go too extreme w/ electrical upgrades. One will do. Just for a heads-up, I will be running Cadence CWM-6 Kits in the front doors with a Cadence Q3000 on each. If I can fit two sets per door without too much modification, I will, because I was originally going to put two sets per door into the Saturn, therefore I HAVE two sets per door if I can fit them. However I know without mods only one set will fit per door, atleast I am pretty sure.....

Sorry to post twice, but I wanted to fill in on something that I forgot to mention. Hats off to JustinFromDetroit. If any of you have an opportunity to do online business with him, it's a pleasure. I was more than impressed with every single step of every transaction, the promptness of his replies to my questions, and his honesty throughout the entire process.

I do pretty much all of my buying online when it comes to car audio. I only buy from authorized dealers, and it usually ends up being either SonicElectronix, Ikesound, or other "reputable" dealers. This transaction happened more smoothly than any other online transaction I have EVER made, and I want to give him the credit he deserves for it!

The only thing I miss about the 2005 Ex's, the magnet has Execution and Elevation Audio stamped into it, and the new ones don't

I understand why teh ygot rid of it though, made production cheaper, so they could lower MSRP. Plus, 95% of people hide the magnet anyways!

indeed. justin is an awesome seller.

i wanted those subs. shame i wanted them after he sold them :P

Sorry bout that man. It all really happened kinda quick. I started out by asking some questions about the subs after researching their site, and the next thing I know I open two boxes with magnets the size of my old twelves' cones staring me in the face.....

What I did NOT realize by reading the site, nor the PDF, probably just because I didn't read WELL enough, was that these puppies pack dual spiders. Also, pics on the net do these things no justice as far as size goes. I still can't believe how friggen massive these subs are. :help:

That is so true. Until you see them in person you can't begin to respect their size.
