Next on Deck?

Post by Syn »

Ok question now guys , in my 06 tiburon it came with an aftermarket kenwood deck. Only thing is it don't have a lot of eq settings just the basic bass, treble, mid. Would it be my best bet to change the deck out?

I was thinking of going with the alpine ipod deck since I'm trying to get away from carrying so many cds with me. Is there favorites among decks as far as performance?

Thanks for any help.

I would recommend the same, just adjust the volume levels of each speaker set.

Every recording is different, so what sounds good on one, will not sound good on all others.

So basically better if I have no sub level settings or anything? Just use the bass setting on the deck?

If you want to fine tune your system, better to get an external EQ/ Crossover/ Linedriver... So your best bet would be to spend less on a decent H/U that's iPod compatable.

Not really wanting to fine tune it I mean the deck is just fine, sounds good, and also has the ipod connection which I already bought for it. I was just wondering if not having the settings to adjust the subwoofer level would be a problem or anything. I take it that its not bad so i 'll just stick with this deck thanks guys.

I have a Phoenix Gold EQ, the 215ix

Its a nice unit giving 15 bands of adjustment on both channels.

Im thinking its going into the Saturn SQ project :)

I would just mess with the volume levels of everything and not EQ it until after your volumes are set. Some frequencies may need to be boosted or lowered a little, which is when you would EQ.
