Single Din into Double Din

Ok well my friend has a 99 Avalon with a double bin factory radio. He is getting a single din radio from crutchfield, and it comes with installation gear, but how will i cover up from double to single? Will it come with some sort of plastic sheet or do I have to get my own? What're my options? I've only installed a single din into a single din so I'm not sure how this is gonna go...

if he ordered correctly from crutchfield, you will be given a dash kit that will cover the space. It should also come with decent instructions as how to do it, when i ordered mine from cruchfield i was very happy with the dash kit- on my car the factory radio included the temperature controls, so the new dash kit had them built in

just shove some rags in around the radio, it will keep it warm and hold it tight so it dont slide around too much as well as fill the hole......

yea it will be fine... But Smoker is joking... although i put special padding ontop and below of my HU... and i've never hit a bump hard enough to make my cd skip...

But you cant cover up all of it in padding... because it needs to vent. But you will be fine without it.
