get one single elevation audio comp 10 for a 100 bucks list price and he will love it. all the punch stuff is crap and i think all their stuff is crap. its best to stay away from the rockford lineup

i am looking for a sub for a friend that ony has 50-100 bucks to spend not much i know but whats the best to pick from that is name brand

Yes the series 1 stuff was garbage, I had a couple of series 1 amps back in the early 90's and they were just crap. I swear they were trying to compete with pyramid or something when they built those.

The old Punch amps were good.
The really old school type like the 150 (square with 2 knobs on the end)

even the more recent punch 200 (oval type) weren't bad.

I've never really cared for fosgate speakers.

i could live with the old old series ones for a budget speaker, they had a whole line of them at one point subs, midbass, mids, tweets and all but the amps really sucked....

Series 1 was garbage.

The subs sucked and blew easily and the amps failed readily...

forget series 1...you probably wont find any pros anymore.they were made when rf was still just selling to small companies. any you did find would be at least 10 years old. are you looking just for rf subs? you can get a better sub than an rf for less or about the same money...
