Series 1 was garbage.
The subs sucked and blew easily and the amps failed readily...

Yes the series 1 stuff was garbage, I had a couple of series 1 amps back in the early 90's and they were just crap. I swear they were trying to compete with pyramid or something when they built those.
The old Punch amps were good.
The really old school type like the 150 (square with 2 knobs on the end)
even the more recent punch 200 (oval type) weren't bad.
I've never really cared for fosgate speakers.
