milkshake is a blend of resin and bondo. i call it pepto because when you add the red colored bondo hardener, it looks like pepto bismol

yay milkshake/pepto good stuff. I use it a lot on the inside of my sealed enclosures and give the whole interior a good coat for a great seal.

Rage is all the rave. Bondo just plain sucks.

Have you ever heard of the milkshake? it can really help with those pin holes and such. :happy055:

ok good idea on that one. I have fiberglassed and its turned out i just want to be good enough to make paintable projects. The speaker sits 3 inches behind the door panel, i want to bring it up on the front of it, could i make a series of mdf ring to span the gap to the new door pod? I think that would reduce most if not all of the instability, also making a fairly large carvity for the speaker to work in if allowed to play in the hollow of the door.

for supplys go to an auto body store. most parts stores have just cheap paint. good paint comes from Dupont PPG house of kolor along with a few others. and for doing door pods it all depends on the panel. if you havent got one already id suggest gettting a video set on how to do fiberglass work that will help out alot.

wow nice work! where do you get the good paint from for a spray gun? napa lol? sorry for my stupid quiestions i love trying to fiberglass, but i am beginner at most. Any of your experience and knowledge is awesome! Ok so as far as door panels go, i would like to bring my 6.5 component out of the insde of the door to display in fiberglass just like the one you did on a jetta tho. How do i go about reinforcing the work to prevent any instability inside the door behind the panel? And im guessing you cut that chunk of the door out and glassed a completely new section?
