Q-logic Q-forms - Who here uses them?

Post by 71buickfreak »

Its been a while since I have been on here. Been busy writing. I have a new car audio book coming out, I will let you guys know when it hits the shelves.

I have been doing some blogging for Q-logic. You guys should check it out and send your friends. Make sure you comment.

This is a no BS deal, some may agree, some won't. leave a comment.

Anyway, I have been tapped by Q-logic to do some more kickpanel designs (I used to be the plastics designer when they were owned by Rockford). What would you guys like to see?

We have made some needed changes to the product line, kickpanels are now available in C-series, which means that they don't come with a grill recess, allowing you to install up to a 7-1/2" (OD) woofer. The plastic is much thicker now too. They used to be made from .140" plastic, now they are .180" and strong as hell. They don't flex and the resonance is much lower.

Any suggestions?

I shape my own kick pods, but I do love pods in general, and the Q logics are a great solution if you don't have the time and money for custom work.

how about a sealed qform that allows you to vent it into the pillar?

What year impala? Sealed kicks have been talked about for years, but the logistics are just about impossible with thermoforming. In addition, venting the mids won't always work, as there is really not enough airspace.

I'd love to slap a tweet and a mid in the pillars of my 2005 Explorer.

I'd like to see some creative solutions for the 94-01 Ranger standard cabs... They are damn tiny and nothing fits..

I have a set in my F-body (92 Camaro) that have been there for years. Only thing I dislike about them is how far they protrude from the kick panel, especially since I have a 5-speed and need the room next to the clutch pedal. I have grown used to putting my left foot to the front edge of the seat though.

I had a set for the Alero. They were the recessed kind... There wasnt enough depth and also the mounting was kind of bad IMO.

But in defense the Alero doesnt have poop for leg room and it intrudes that little space anyhow...
