I couldn't tell you if it was decending from space but it was losing altitude and I've never seen anything in the air travel that fast. I have seen a meteor shower while travelling in the bush at night after a hunting trip. I was laying in the back of an Argo and they were bright blue with a long purple tail behind them. This looked nothing at all like that, this was huge and it was closer to the earth.

I have also seen a black fighter jet that I've never seen before fly over at a very high rate of speed just a few hundred feet over head while I was guilding some American hunters in central Alberta. The jet would have been left in the dust by this thing.

It wasn't that high up in the atmosphere. It was around 5000 feet up at the most, probably not even that.

I'm not really sure if it was making noise. I was flying down the highway at a fast rate of speed and the music was on with the window down, so there was lot's of noise in the cab. I turned down the music as soon as I saw it but I couldn't hear it.

Well it was to far away to say. I am sure that they monitor that type of stuff, and may have caught it on video with one of them huge ass telescopes, but other than that I couldn't say. Now if it was closer, say over the US. They would have scanned it with IFF, and radar, (if it would send out a return) and then scramble fighters to check it out if they didn't get a IFF return.

IFF = Identification Friend or Foe, all airplanes have a form of IFF. At least mode 3A and C. Military have 1, 2, 3A, C and 4. (mode 4 is the cool one)
