Head to the forums at elitecaraudio, and search for Ascendant. Alot of the shadiness has been aired out over there. I've read through alot of it, and I don't see why Chad at Ascendant is so worried about people reviewing his subwoofers.

Bottom line, Assassins are cheap. Thats IF they're still shipping, I'm not clear on their stock situation, so I don't know.

RE has it's own set of issues. So does Adire. Image Dynamics is selling OEM (eD?) product on eBay for good prices... at least theres some stock available. Seems to be the best bet right now, at least in terms of bang for the buck.

over at SIN, they talked about that, and they are built by ID, and they have been getting some great reviews over there.

ID is Image Dynamics and they were the buildhouse for Elemental Designs who is eD.

The ID stuff has identical specs to eD stuff, coincidence? no.

ID always gets good reviews. It's a safe way to go. And eD's price on the same product is about double, plus shipping.

ID is selling eD leftovers because, as usual, eD is having legal trouble with yet another buildhouse.

I think it's important that ID only get credit for the subs they have built for eD (the current subs), so that they don't take the blame for the crap that eD has put out in the past

ID is NOT building subs for eD anymore.

Yes, Ben apparently screwed yet another buildhouse. I reckon eD will put themselves out of business soon, as there can't be many speaker building options left to turn to.
