DLS Iridium...or Rainbow Profi??

i would probaly go with the DLS just because im a dealer but you really need to listen to them. im gonna be running That set of DLS comps in my BMW with a US amp 4300 on it too.

is there that much of a difference between the DLS UR's and the Iridiums????

He(Steve Head) will more than likely tell me DLS, b/c that is what he won the 2003 Iasca World Championship with. lol

I am very much so leaning towards the DLS, and this is starting to not even be a question anymore, b/c i Have heard the Iridiums.....in about 3 diff. cars, and they sound incredible.

BUT, my new question is......is the What is the Diff. between the DLS UR and the Iridiums.....that Sandwich Honey-comb Cone looks pretty impressive, and they must be cheaper than the Iridium's.

actually i havent had too much experience with the higher end DLS. not too many people around here can afford that kind on stuff.

yeah, me too. but i can't seem to get his help.
i dunno if he has been on in a while though, b/c i haven't, so i dunno.
maybe GW knows some more about these two drivers and the differences between them

Just popping in to say that I run the Rainbow Profi 3-way components. They are the BEST sounding, clearest, and nicest components I have ever heard, and I have heard a lot of speakers. I wouldn't hange them out for anything.

I'd go with the Profis, and don't criticize their hard domes without hearing them. Rainbow's are very "silk like" in that they're laid back, and smooth. Not the typical harsh tweeter when you think of metal domes.. just like not all silks are all that smooth, depending more on the individual driver design, dispersion, travel, coil diameter, etc.. than just the material alone. I think you'd like the profis, but I have no qualms with DLS either. Both are good companies, with good products.
I personally went with DynAudio for my three-ways because I got them at a much more affordable price than an equally performing set of Rainbows a few years ago.

My only issue with Rainbow is their seeming inability to find, hold, and keep a US distributor, and their general lack of availability.
