Yea, I made the same mistake when i was starting out, (Bought a BOSS Audio 1600w) Really the only thing you can do with that amp is just to isolate the Power and Remote wires along one side of the car, and keep the RCA's to the other side of the car, and make sure that the ground wire is well grounded, no fraying and a good connection, and turn ur gain down quite a bit but im sure it says DB or Level on that amp, and for gods sake dont touch the DB Boost switch... Other than that you should see if you could return that amp and save your money and buy a good amp for your car.

how much u looking to spend... I wouldnt necessarily go with an Alpine amp because you could get more for your money... What are you lookign for in a car stereo? First do you have good wires... Second, do you have a HU that has decent controls... thirdly are you looking for a SPL, SQ or SQL System... also what kind of space do you have in your car? You should have a good idea of what you want, and when you think you do, post a question or two, there are plenty of guys here willing to help,

I've got the entire back of a supercab truck for stereo, I'm looking for an SQL, my HU is a brand new pioneer with pretty decent EQ controls, and my wires are all high quality 0/1 ga wire for power except for remote, and the RCA's are top quality
