I agree with Justin myself, how could you not put mich in championship over Florida. I think if it was anyother major confrence there would be no question, Mich, Ohio St. Its because they dont want to teams from Big Ten. GO HAWKEYES

Florida definitely had the toughest schedule, and the reason that they had a hard time against arkansas is because arkansas is a damn good team. Ohio state may get there ass kicked if they play Florida! But If I had to choose which I liked best, definitely Michigan............but can they beat Ohio state? maybe... If it wasn't for the Oregon debacle OU had, they would be vying(?) for a national championship as well.

I cna understand the arguement is Michigan lost to some crappy team, but their only loss was to the NUMBER ONE team, by FOUR POINTS, in OHIO. Michigan had the THIRD HARDEST SCHEDULE this year. Sorry, but no way in fuck does Florida look like a better choice.
I think it is utter bullshit how the #4 ranked team suddenly is being considered for a championship game. Michigan doesn't play for two weeks and they drop two places? That is bullshit.
Third hardest my ass. The ONLY really tough team Michigan played was OSU, where the ONLY tough teams OSU played were Michigan and Texas. Both of their schedules were extremely weak. Notre Dame was highly overrated, Wisconsin was perhaps the only other "good" team in the Big 10. The rest of them were pushovers for either team, and both mustered up some mediocre efforts against said crappy teams.
Florida? Try LSU, Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, archrival Florida State, as well as others. Half of those teams spent the majority of their seasons in the top 10, until all of them beat the shit out of one another enough to claim the top spots. Their only loss? To a strong (pre QB and runningback injuries) Auburn team on a controversial play. Michigan lost fair and square to the better team. The difference between the SEC and the Big 10? Speed and Defense. Florida has the advantage on both accounts.
As far as difficulty of schedule, Florida has both of them beat. Florida's defense is substantially faster than Michigans and their offense is much a more balanced attack. Will they beat OSU? They have the athletic ability no doubt. It's going to boil down to solid coaching and making minimal mistakes. This isn't going to be the huge offensive effort that Michigan-OSU was, it's going to come down to solid defense. And I wager a MUCH better game than a rematch of the Michigan-OSU showdown.

That wouldn't prove anything, honestly. They would have to give another team a shot.
Proof? 2004. Oklahoma gets stomped by USC. Auburn had gone undefeated in the SEC that year, but the BCS cheated them out of a championship due to a lack of "style points" in a much tougher conference than either of those teams faced. Auburn had the ability to kick the shit out of either team and never got a chance.
What we need is a proper playoff system between the conference champions, just like every other respectable sport embraces.
